In Paradox, a Roblox game inspired by Bleach, the progression system is based on something called Potential rather than traditional leveling. You gain Potential points by completing missions assigned to you by specific NPCs, depending on your chosen race or faction. These factions include Shinigami, Hollow, and Quincy, and each has its own unique method of acquiring Potential and reaching certain milestones.
How to Get Potential in Paradox
To start earning Potential, you’ll need to interact with a particular NPC, which differs based on the race/faction you belong to:
- Shinigami: Speak to the Division Trainer.
- Hollow: You must first evolve from Fishbone to Arrancar before you can talk to the Arrancar Hub.
- Quincy: Speak to the Quincy Trainer.
These NPCs will give you missions to complete, and finishing these tasks grants you Potential points. However, if you’re a Hollow, you’ll need to grind your way up to Arrancar before accessing missions, while Shinigami and Quincy can begin immediately.
How to Uncap Potential
At some point, you’ll receive a notification saying, “You Cannot Gain Any More Potential Right Now.” This means your Potential has reached its current cap. To continue gaining more, you’ll need to uncap it by traveling to Karakura Town and defeating Kisuke in a 1v1 battle.
Each faction has its own way of accessing Karakura Town:
- Hollow: Equip your sword, open your inventory, and drag the Garganta skill to your hotbar. Use it to open a portal to Karakura Town.
- Shinigami and Quincy: Likely have similar skills or methods to travel, though the exact steps may differ slightly.
Once you’re in Karakura Town, press the comma ( , ) key to highlight nearby NPCs, locate Kisuke, and approach him. Hold E to speak with him and choose to fight. Winning the fight will uncap your Potential, allowing you to earn more points.
You’ll need to fight Kisuke every time you want to unlock more Potential. Reaching Potential 200 is essential for unlocking your Shikai.
Max Potential in Paradox
At launch, the maximum Potential you can achieve is 705, which lets you invest up to 42 stat points. Keep in mind, though, that this number is likely to increase as the game gets more updates and content.
How to Check Your Potential
You have two ways to check how much Potential you currently have:
- Karakura Town NPC: Look for Julian, an NPC who can tell you your Potential (use the comma key to find him).
- Slot Selection Menu: Before jumping into the game, you can also check your Potential in the character slot selection screen.
