If you were waiting for a new reason to jump back into Anime Last Stand, Update 50 has it all. It’s full of new stuff, big changes, and some real cool rewards that are worth the work. This update could be one of the most fun we’ve seen so far.
Let’s start with the headliners: 9 brand-new units, including both evolved and base versions, are hitting the roster. Alongside them, there’s a rework of an older unit, breathing new life into some familiar faces. Oh—and Boku Dark (Resentful) just dropped, so good luck getting your hands on that powerhouse.
One of the most hyped additions? The Void Portal system, now live in-game. You can grab a T1 Void Portal from the Merchant, and if you’re lucky (or persistent), unlock two new Secret Portals hidden inside. The update also introduces randomized elements and subtype modifiers, adding new layers of challenge and variety.
But it doesn’t stop there. A brand-new Tournament Season has kicked off, and Abyssal Trials are here to shake things up. These trials push you to engage with different corners of the game for a chance to unlock exclusive units. It’s the kind of grind that actually feels worth it.
Flame Ninja Capsule is now finally openable, too—so if you’ve been stockpiling, it’s time to crack those open.
Quality of Life Just Got a Big Boost
Let’s be real—QoL changes can make or break the daily grind. In this update, base HP has been swapped for a new stock system, which should make longer battles a bit more forgiving (or at least more strategic). Daily and weekly quests got a solid buff, and Pearl and Jewel rewards are now roughly 250% juicier. That’s not a typo.
Plus, a bunch of quests got swapped out for more engaging alternatives—like replacing the old ‘Multiplayer’ daily with an ‘Infinite Waves’ challenge. Weekly ‘Evolve’ quests also got a refresh, now focusing on the Elemental Caverns instead.
On the UI side, things are looking slick. You can now track quests in-game, pin important ones, and even look up player profiles by username. A new batch of profile banners has been added too—unlockable by completing Infinite maps on Nightmare difficulty. It’s a great way to flex your achievements without saying a word.
Also worth noting: The Merchant now pops up every 30 minutes, though his stock still rotates on the hour.
A Quick Peek at Leaked Units
Dataminers have already uncovered a juicy list of upcoming units, and if the leaks are legit, we’re in for a treat:
- Reworked Georno
- Goku Dark (Extreme Boost)
- Immortal King + Omnipotent form
- Onas + Demon King version
- Gobomaro (and Shiny!)
- Gun Reaper & Twin Gun Reaper
- Chohori + Chohori (Misfortune)
Looks like the devs are just getting started.
Are you playing hard to get new units, or just signing in for daily gifts? Update 50 has much to see. And remember—there are live codes for the game, so make sure to use them to grab more cool stuff.
