The team behind Guardian Tales has just dropped some exciting news: from September 16 to 30, 2025, the game will feature a special collaboration with the indie hit Dead Cells. And while we won’t see brand-new heroes arriving, there’s still plenty to get hyped about.
The highlight of the event is a unique outfit inspired by the iconic Prisoner from Dead Cells, designed for Dark Mage Beth. On top of that, players can unlock all sorts of themed goodies: character and equipment costumes, visual updates for Heavenhold’s Princess, a commemorative Heavenhold monument, new room backgrounds, portrait frames, and a fresh sticker pack.
Now, here’s the catch: no event-exclusive heroes are planned for this crossover, which has already sparked some disappointment among fans. Instead, the focus is on collectible skins and cosmetics. Still, it’s not all bad news—some rewards will be available completely free through event missions, while others will come bundled in paid packs.
And keep in mind—there are Guardian Tales codes out there too. Use them to grab more prizes and ease the grind a bit. If you’re all about maxing out these team-ups, you need to watch for new codes.
