Anime Defenders Shiny Units Guide
Similar to Pokémon, Anime Defenders has its own Shinies. While the method of obtaining them is different, the concept is the same. As you’d expect, a Shiny is an ultra-rare variant of a unit. However, there’s a bit more to it!
What is a Shiny Unit?
As mentioned above, a Shiny is a variant of another unit. The rarity of the normal version doesn’t matter, as Rare, Epic, Legendary, and Mythic units all have Shiny variations. All Shiny units are rare, even for the more common units (Rare and Epic). This makes Mythic and Legendary Shinies the rarest of them all!
You can identify a Shiny variant by its significantly altered appearance. This could be a brand-new outfit or a different color scheme for the existing outfit. Another perk of collecting Shiny units is that you also receive their outfits, allowing you to dress your avatar in clothing inspired by various anime characters!
In addition to the cosmetics, Shiny units also receive a 5% damage increase. While it might not sound like much, it does make a noticeable difference!
How to get a Shiny
You can obtain a Shiny in the same way as any other unit: through the summoning banner! However, Shinies are much rarer overall. Essentially, it all comes down to luck. To increase your chances, you can purchase a specific gamepass called the “Shiny Hunter”. This gamepass costs 1,299 Robux. In my opinion, it’s not worth it since it doesn’t guarantee a Shiny, and the actual boost percentage from buying it is unknown.
