Rust Mobile Brings the Chaos: First Closed Beta Coming This Fall

Survival goes mobile—Rust Mobile closed beta opens in November. Limited spots, wild gameplay, global access.

Fans at gamescom 2025 got the first taste of Rust Mobile—and from what people are saying, it’s just as chaotic and unpredictable as you’d hope. But here’s the real kicker: if you couldn’t make the trip, there’s still a way in. The first closed beta for the English-language version is officially landing in early November.

Getting access isn’t automatic—you’ll need to apply through the official website or via Google Forms. There’s even a special sign-up path for content creators, though only about 50 lucky players over 18 will make the cut. Yep, competition’s fierce, but that’s half the fun, right?

The beta won’t be a free-for-all; slots are limited. The mayhem inside, however, will be anything but. Gamers on both iOS and Android can join the test, with access granted in select regions including the United States, Canada, the UK, Germany, France, Japan, and Thailand.

For those new to the idea, Rust Mobile is a licensed spin on the legendary survival sandbox created by Facepunch. Think of the usual Rust game—getting stuff, making stuff, staying alive, and facing the wild stuff—but this time, on your phone. Team up with pals or go it alone, you’re now surviving on the go.
