Seven Knights 2: How to Get Started Intelligently? Sharing tips, strategies, and advice

Last Updated on 01.03.2024

Seven Knights 2 is a new RPG project from Netmarble Studios, which has recently been released. As a direct sequel to its predecessor, the game takes us to events that take place 20 years after Seven Knights. This time, the game’s main plot is told from the perspective of a different side. Nevertheless, the game keeps its peculiarities. A lot of adventures and different characters are still waiting for you. Improve them and create powerful teams to confront any challenge of the game. The system of quests and search for resources is also preserved.

In this guide, we would like to give you some tips and recommendations for new Seven Knights 2 players, that will help you to get on the right track at the very beginning of the game.

Seven Knights 2: Essential Tips and Tricks for Newcomers

Smart controls are every player’s best friend

Like many other mobile games, Seven Knights 2 pays a lot of attention to the automatic combat system. In this game, this system is implemented through smart controls. A button you can find at the bottom of your screen. Clicking on it will send a command to your group to go to the next part of the quest and try to complete it.

What makes this feature special is that it does everything according to the gameplay, meaning you interact with all the objects in the quest, attack enemies, move to the next destination, and more. You can even use it during dungeons to have your characters fight enemies automatically.

This feature saves a lot of time and simplifies the gameplay. We recommend linking this function to a specific key with the settings, so you can easily and quickly switch between automatic and manual mode during the game.

Forming a Command

If you’re going to use smart controls regularly, you need to make sure your team is ready to face any enemy that gets in their way. You don’t just need to discover powerful characters, you also need to distribute them intelligently within your team. This is so that you can be sure that during the battle, there will not be a situation where you will have to switch to manual control.

That is why it is important not only to discover all powerful characters in the game, but to gather a strong team, that will defeat any opponent. The game features different squad formations. If your style of play is more attack-oriented, and you specialize in causing damage in close combat, then select the attack formation. It will increase the damage dealt. If you prefer ranged combat, we recommend using a ranged formation, which increases your ranged attack damage while increasing your defense.

At the beginning of the game, you will have a choice of three formations. For additional currency, however, you can unlock various formations that can give your squad the necessary bonus to win and reduce the risk of switching to manual control mode.

Explore Characters

As we said earlier, formations give your squad various bonuses to increase their effectiveness in combat. Before you move on to forming squads, you need to familiarize yourself with the characters. At the moment, it is hard to say who is the best character in the game (we will talk about that in the next article), but there are characteristics that you should pay attention to when choosing each character.

And remember: the composition of the team decides everything! Before you start, you’ll need to decide on the following: you either keep a balance or create strategies that focus heavily on a certain type of damage, at the expense of your defense level. You can create a team focused on support and defense, but we wouldn’t recommend you do that. You simply won’t have enough damage to defeat your opponent.

There are five classes of heroes in Seven Knights 2:

  • Tank: Group of defenders, whose impressive HP and defense stats allow them to withstand tons of damage and come out of any fight unscathed. These characters are designed to take all the damage, so they keep their allies safe.
  • DPS: Characters who can deal tons of damage in close combat. By sacrificing their level of defense, Damagers can deal a lot of damage to an opponent. This is another reason why you need a Tank on your team.
  • Ranged: They, like Damagers, deal a lot of damage to the enemy. Only this time from long range. Shooters are not as useful in close combat, but they make up for this disadvantage with their AoE skills and support skills.
  • Support: characters that can heal and boost their allies. One member of this class can do a great job in a team.
  • Universal: Characters that are somewhere between Damagers and Tanks. They have more defense and HP than Damagers, but not as much as Tanks. They are balanced characters that don’t really stand out in any way.

Keep in mind that a character is not limited to the role the class prescribes. For example, some Tanks may have support skills that benefit the team far more than just absorbing enemy damage. Likewise, Damagers can cast boosting skills that are stronger than some of the Support skills. Their main purpose, though, is to attack.

Therefore, it is important to find a balance within the team. For the standard team is a good composition: a couple of Damagers or Riflemen, one character from the class Support and Tank. You can experiment and change the composition of the team. Choose your unique line-up with Damagers or Universalists, as the situation demands.

Do not forget about the pets!

In Seven Knights 2 you will have cute pets that are just as important as your characters. Each of them has special skills that can greatly enhance your team.

You can unlock new pets just like your characters: either get them by completing missions or buy them for currency. Try to get a pet as quickly as possible. After all, as we said earlier, they can often increase not only your characteristics, but also the amount of rewards you get for completing missions, such as gold. You can add a pet to your team through the game menu by clicking on the appropriate button.

One more tip: If you have friends in the game, and they are on your list, you can temporarily borrow their pets and add them to your squad. But there is a limit to how many times you can use your friends’ pets. So use them wisely.
