While the English-language version of Strinova Mobile is gearing up for beta testing in Southeast Asia, things are already heating up elsewhere. The closed beta has officially gone live in China, running from May 23 to June 7. If you’re quick enough to grab a spot, you’ll need to download a 6.7 GB client via the Chinese version of TapTap—though fair warning, regional restrictions do apply.
The game’s available for both iOS and Android, and here’s the kicker—there are no in-game purchases during the test period. Access is limited, so it’s pretty exclusive, and once the servers go offline, all progress will be wiped clean. No grinding for loot boxes here—just pure gameplay.
As for hardware, you’ll need at least a Snapdragon 845 and 4GB of RAM to run it smoothly. And before you get any ideas—nope, emulators aren’t supported. So if you were hoping to play this one on PC, you’re out of luck.
At launch, players will go through tutorials on aerial movement and a slick mechanic that lets you morph into a 2D string—yep, you read that right. Visually, the game holds up well on mobile screens and might just be the anime-styled alternative to your usual hero shooter. It’s fast-paced, flashy, and a little weird in the best way possible.
To be honest, it’s nice to see a mobile game that doesn’t lead you straight to a menu for a store. Fans of action-packed, styled shooters may find a favorable niche for it if the finished version maintains this strategy.
