Ubisoft just dropped some big news for strategy and collectible card game fans. They’ve teamed up with Immutable to create Might & Magic Fates, a new free-to-play, cross-platform game that blends competitive card battles with the power of NFT ownership. Sounds a bit ambitious? It is—but also kind of exciting.
This isn’t your typical tap-and-win mobile game. Might & Magic Fates will launch with over 100 unique cards, each of which can be owned as an NFT. That means your deck isn’t just a bunch of digital placeholders—it’s a collection you can actually own, trade, and possibly even sell. You’ll build your deck from these cards to go head-to-head in PvP duels, with both casual and ranked modes available.
Ubisoft’s own team is on the job, and the game will be out on PC, iOS, and Android. They have put out a short teaser video to show fans what’s on the way, and now there’s a site live where you can sign up early.
The game is shaping up to be something both long-time fans of the Might & Magic universe and complete newcomers can enjoy. It’ll feature a range of card types, unit abilities, and factions, each offering a different way to approach strategy and gameplay. And here’s a nice touch: the ranked ladder will reward players with seasonal loot based on their performance—so the more you win, the more you earn.
Ubisoft has promised more updates in the coming months, including a deeper gameplay showcase and expanded pre-registration options—expect App Store, Google Play, and Steam pages to pop up soon.
Honestly, as someone who’s sunk way too many hours into digital card games (looking at you, Hearthstone), the idea of actually owning your cards in a way that carries value outside the game is pretty intriguing. But what about you?
Let’s chat in the comments—are you into the NFT angle, or just here for the strategy? Would love to hear your take.
