Grow a Garden’s “Kitchen Storm” Update Serves Up Recipes, Pets, and More

Grow a Garden’s new Kitchen Storm update adds recipes, pets, seeds, events, and codes for extra rewards.

The kitchen in Grow a Garden just got a serious upgrade. The brand-new Kitchen Storm expansion is live, and it’s turning the gentle art of gardening into a whirlwind of cooking chaos, adorable pets, and juicy rewards.

A mysterious culinary critic has arrived in town, and he’s hungry for mutated dishes. Hand over your experimental creations, and you’ll get to choose one of three rewards for every plate you serve. The new Recipe Book makes it easier than ever to track what you’ve cooked and what ingredients you’ll need next—perfect for obsessive collectors (and yes, I’m absolutely guilty).

The “storm” part isn’t just for drama. Kitchen Storm events bring the special Aromic mutation, which you can level up four times by cooking and submitting dishes. The more it grows, the faster you can whip up new meals—making it a community-wide sprint for speed.

It’s not just about food, though. You can now save and swap between three custom pet loadouts, and there’s a batch of fresh crops to grow: King Cabbage, Badlands Pepper, Bitter Melon, Pricklefruit, Butternut Squash, Spring Onion, and Rhubarb. Plus, new animal friends like Lobster Thermidor and Gorilla Chef are ready to join your garden crew (and yes, they’re as weirdly lovable as they sound).

New chests, cosmetic items, events, and weather patterns round out the update, along with plenty of quality-of-life tweaks—from overlapping weather effects to revamped pet UIs. And yes, there are codes out there to snag a few extra goodies if you know where to look.

If you’re already knee-deep in virtual soil, this update is basically a buffet of new reasons to log back in. And if you’re new? Well, there’s never been a better time to start growing and cooking your way to garden glory.
