On April 24, Remedy Entertainment went live with a first look at FBC: Firebreak, their upcoming co-op shooter set in the Control universe. The highlight? A thrilling gameplay showcase and the official release date: June 17, 2025.
The game will be out at the same time on PC and new game systems, and get this—it will be on both Xbox Game Pass and PlayStation Plus right from the start. If you have a membership, you’re all set.
You can pick from two types: a regular one at $40 or a fancier one at $50. The better pack gives more style with cool stuff for weapons and people. Not sure you want it yet? It’s all good—you can begin with the regular and move to the fancy one later for just $10 extra, with no more cost on top. That gives you a lot of room to choose.
FBC: Firebreak is designed for three-player co-op, dropping you and your crew into an action-heavy, paranormal world that builds on the mysterious lore of Control. Unlike many modern shooters, though, there won’t be daily quests, battle passes, or limited-time events. No countdowns. No FOMO. Just play at your own pace, whenever you want.
As expected, fans are already split. Some are hyped beyond belief, convinced it’s another instant classic from Remedy. Others… not so much—calling it a “flop in the making” before it’s even out.
But hey, that’s the internet for you.
So what’s your take? Is FBC: Firebreak on your radar, or are you holding out for more info? Drop into the comments and let’s talk—especially if you’re planning to squad up on launch day.
